Use of Titanium

The applications of titanium alloys can be divided roughly into three categories:

• applications requiring the good structural and/or temperature properties of titanium alloys in relation to their low density. In fact the ratio between strength and density is the highest among the metallic structural materials.
• applications requiring very high corrosion resistance to certain agressive media such as in the chemical industry.
• special applications based on the unique properties of c.p. titanium and titanium alloys.
